Glow: Dry Brushing
The skin is the largest organ of the body and dry brushing is a super simple way to give it some love. Dry brushing is an ancient Ayurveda (sister science of yoga) technique used for total body exfoliation to unclog pores, stimulate the lymphatic system and release toxins. All that's needed is a natural dry brush, which can be purchased at stores ranging from TJ Maxx to Target, and your birthday suit. It is most effective when done twice a day but once a day (or honestly whenever you remember) is beneficial too.
Start with your feet and begin by making long and gentle strokes towards your heart, ideally brushing the same area more than once. Gentle is key here, you don't want to irritate skin. Skip sensitive areas. To brush the entire body should take about five minutes and follow immediately with a shower. The result? Glow-tastic skin that feels as good as it looks.
Note: dry brushing can be done on the face but be sure to purchase a specific brush for the face. These are generally smaller (see pic) and need only be used once a week or so.
