Mama Meditation: Trust Your Mama Intuition
I was in a situation lately where my gut felt at war with my brain. My heart was screaming one thing while my brain was quietly saying something else. The whole experience left me feeling shaken and unsure. Let's just be honest here, it wasn't good. What the experience taught me is that mama intuition is real and valid. You know when something isn't right for your child and alternatively, when something just jives. Making the intiutive choice isn't always easy but the heart knows what's up and will light the way. Trust me on this one or, more accurately, trust yourself.

Find a comfortable seat. Gently close your eyes or find a soft gaze. Visualize a decision that is weighing you down. Really feel it. Does it have a color? Smell? Sound? Taste? Allow the feeling to wash over you completely. Embrace the ick.
Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly. Emotions are created in the heart but often reside in the belly. Think through option number one: what will come from this path? How will it serve you? What will it look and feel like? Is it a heavy or a light choice? Then, do the same with option number two. Heavy or light? Sit with this information. Truly feel the weight of both options.
